Yellow Jackets for Christ & Northern Hills Church of Christ is excited to be able to start offering after school tutoring for middle school students. We pray that we can serve our communities, be able to add value to families & students, and do what we can to enrich students’ academic future!
We thank you for this opportunity to serve your family by tutoring your child. On this page, we’ll be posting scheduling updates, tutoring information, additional contact information, and the permission slip and take home letter if you should need it again. What’s the cost of this tutoring?
We’re currently asking $5 a student per time to simply cover costs of transportation & food.
Who is able to be tutored?
Any middle school student who needs additional tutoring is welcome to come.
What subjects do you offer?
Currently we offer any subject needed.
How does my student get to your building & back to the middle school?
Prairie Hills Transit will provide transportation from the middle school at 3:30pm and back to it at 5:30pm.
What will they expect when they arrive?
Your children will be matched up with one on one tutoring, and will be given a quiet, safe, and supportive environment in which to work. Internet access is available, and snacks will be provided.
ABOUT US
Though the pictures here are buildings, both the Christian Student Center and Northern Hills Church of Christ are made by the people, not the buildings or names. Because of this, both of our missions are people, to add value to their lives and serve them in the name of Jesus.
The Yellow Jackets For Christ is a student organization at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, SD. We are non-denominational, sponsored by Churches of Christ, and open to everyone. Everything we do flows from our mission verse: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” – Mark 12:30
Northern Hills Church of Christ was created by a merger of congregations from Belle Fourche & Spearfish around 2000. Home also of Amazing Grace Preschool, we strive to be an active presence in both the Spearfish & Belle 
Fourche communities. Though our location makes community involvement a little nontraditional, our doors are always open to organizations and people who we can serve, and not just on Sunday mornings.
